On January 17th a large coach broker, Momentum Coach Hire, collapsed without warning leaving a large number of people out of pocket, only to start up almost immediately with a replacement company, trading for all intents and purposes as if nothing untoward had occurred.
Coach brokers hire from a list of operators who give them the cheapest price which does not necessarily mean that the client receives the best deal. Whilst many of these coach operators are both reputable and reliable, the hirer often does not know their identity until the coach arrives on the day.
Hiring from a long established local company is one way to ensure peace of mind. You have probably seen the coaches on the road or you may have used them before or know someone who has.
