Cruisers are primed and ready to transport Sutton United’s fans for FA Cup match.
Following Sutton United’s stunning 3-1 victory away to AFC Wimbledon in the last round, which featured two late late goals, the whole club are now gearing up for a mouth watering tie at home to none other than high flying Leeds United on the 29th January. Leeds currently sit 3rd place in the championship after a very good run of form.
It will be a huge day for the club and all the supporters will be hoping for another giant slaying at Gander Green Lane.
After doing a little digging we discovered that this fixture has a little history as the two sides actually met in the 4th round of the cup in 1970. At that time, Leeds were reigning League champions and were in fact leading the First Division table and were through to the last eight in the European Cup. Leeds ran out comfortable 6-0 winners on the day when 14,000 fans filled the stands of Gander Green Lane.
